Bella meet Judith

I was at a scrapbook convention last weekend. Oh YA I had a great time. I went to 5 classes to learn new techniques, I must say I was happen with all projects. Well there were vendors of course I saw a stamp booth at a scrapbook convention which is usually out of place. However I really enjoyed this company "Stamps by Judith" it was a family business and they had just a great time showing you all the different possibilities with there stamps or stamps you have that you don't use any more. During the demonstration they did this garden of wild flowers..... oh my goodness I was SOLD. I must of had over $100 of stamps in my basket........ (to my husband I put some back :) ) Anyway I just had to make sure I had enough to do the wild flower garden. All I could see is a Bella with bare feet standing in the flowers. I had to come home and do it right away. LOVE IT!!! It was all I thought it would be.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do.

Valentines Day.....

Ya I know it is a little late for that..... I just found this card I made for my husband for Valentines Day. See my husband thinks about poker as mush as I think about crafts...... THAT IS A LOT believe me. So I thought I would make him a poker card. This is what I came up with. I got this ace stamp from Michaels a while ago waiting for the perfect inspiration to use it. I hand wrote "You're My Ace" the stamp of cards on the background was from a stamp I got at the convention again just waiting to me inked.

Love Bugs

This is a cute card I did tonight. I found these lady bugs in my stamp collection while I was created cards for my card class. When I saw them I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them.

Kittie Boutique

I found this fabric and just knew it had to be a tote. Here is another tote I have completed. I decided I am going to sell these 2 totes this post and the one below. If you are interested you can go to my corner on etsy.com at ssqcorner.etsy.com.

Totes ... love them

OK so I have me busy making totes. I have forgotten how much I love to sew. I have started sewing again and just can't stop. These are the latest things I have created. These small totes to carry your lunch or other small things in are so fun to make. So far I have made 4.

What have I been up to.....

Well I seem to be very busy I finally got a chance to clean my craft room. I just had my first card class in my new space. We had a blast.

Saturday I also got a chance to take a class at Mystic Paper. Let me just say it was with TIM HOLTZ!!!!!! YES!!! I am screaming. I can't believe I was finally able to take a class with the master. He is so down to earth and creative. I am a big fan.

This project was totally out of my box. When I sat down at the table with a plain box I looked at my mom and said what did we get into. I can't do this. I don't even know where to start. Then Tim started handing out all of the stuff and I totally was overwhelmed. My mom was also. So Tim instructed was to paint the box first. So I started with pink, green and blue...... Ya I know what the heck was I thinking. It looked like a clown box which wouldn't be bad if I had a clown to put in it however I had a bird. I looked at mom and asked how do you like it. She was trying hard not to say oh my goodness please paint over that. So she said quite....... which is a sign to me she HATED IT. So right about then Tim came down the room and I notice him looking at mine and then told the whole class if you don't like the color paint over it. I was like oh my goodness he didn't even like it. Well truth to be told I didn't like it. So I painted over it. I just love the color now.

Anyway it took about an hour just trying to figure out what I was going to do, then I looked at mom and said I am just going to start gluing things down so I can change my mind. Plus this was the only way I was going to get done.

Well I just love how it came out!!!!!! I love the color of the box and everything in it. I would like to tell Tim thank you for pushing\pulling me in a new direction of creativity. I can't wait to get my hands are your new product.

Here is what I finished up with:

If you look close you can see my favorite new stamp from Tim stamped inside the box. "In dreams we catch glimpses of life larger than our own."

I am back.... sorry I have been away.

Do I still have any readers? I have been away for a while I know. However I have great news. I have started selling my work on etsy.com. This is a place where artist can go to sell their work to interested parties. It is better than ebay for selling hand made work, I think. See my problem was I have like 200 cards and had to figure out what I do with all these. I mean I send them out however 200..... I am sure others have way more.

So anyway a friend told me about etsy.com. So check me out at ssqcorner.etsy.com

I have a lot more to post. I actually started quilting again. WOW I forgot how much I really enjoy quilting. I have a couple of Tote bags I will be putting up on etsy as soon as I get a picture of them.

Oh and I have several photos I took I want to put on etsy also.

Blog Candy:
Well I just notice this is my 100th post. So I think it is time for some blog candy. WAY PAST DUE. I will come up with something and do another post with what you you need to do to win.

Until then ---
