I need to remember this.......

I was dropping my kids off at their pre-school last week and I saw this quote by the sign-in sheet. I liked it so much I had to write it down. I do not have a personal picture of a rainbow however I found this cool picture from National Geographic News web site post. I am just borrowing it to prove the point of the quote. Here is the quote:

"The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you do the work." --Patricia Clafford

I just love that! How true this is. I try to remember this quote while things happen. Here is a little background to help you understand why I like this quote so much. In March of this year we were going to the store and I said girls there is a rainbow over there, look. (Living in the Phoenix, AZ area rainbows are hard to find.) Anyway they were so excited and watched it the whole time we could while driving by. Then to my surprise I went to school a couple of days later and saw this on the Artist of the week table done by Trinity:

How cool is that? This makes me so proud. I can't wait to scrapbook it with this story!! Oh and of course use the quote!

I hope you enjoyed this.

He loves me... He loves me not...

This card was fun to make. I wanted to use my new Pick a Petal stamp set so I decided to be some colors I have not work with. I love the web site I found that helps find matching colors. Check it out here scrapitude. I remember as a little girls picking a flower and saying "He loves me .... He loves me not... "

Enjoy.

A*Muse ATC Swap

This is my second A*Muse ATC swap for Taylor. I wanted it to look like a magical kingdom, my girls just love castles and princesses. While the love any stamp I let them use. I know I have a hard time letting them use "MY" stamps because I try to keep my stamp looking new. So instead of me acting like a little kid myself I decided to start letting them use a "few" of my stamps. This was the first one..... and let me just tell you the block is BLACK now. lol Anyway they love being with mom and making a card. Don't get me wrong I love that they are interested in learning.

This is what goes on in my stamp room when they both are in here trying to stamp........ (MeeMa saw it this weekend)

Meadow- Mommy what are you doing?
Mom - Making a card for someone.
Meadow- Wow a castle.... why are you making a castle?
Mom - Because I like castles don't you?
Meadow- Can I make a castle card?
Mom - Not right now honey I need to get these finished so I can get them in the mail.
Meadow- but why..... I want to make one too....
Meadow - Why are you making so many cards?
Meadow - are you putting stars on it?
Meadow - Can I sit on your lap and watch you?
Meadow - Clouds..... they look like clouds mom, are they clouds? Why are you putting clouds on the castle card? Grass is that grass? Pink castle, why you are doing a pink castle.

Mom - Here honey why don't you take this paper, ink pad, and Castle stamp to make your own card over on your table.....

Meadow - OK

Then a few minutes later she comes back and asks for something else..... etc I think moms out there understand what I am getting at. Looking back it was cute but a little stressful since I waited so long to work on these.

I hope the ladies that get this ATC enjoy them.....

Try these colors on for size

You may have noticed I added a new banner and changed the colors. I don't totally know if I like it so it may change again. However it is late and time to call it a night. Oh and the background of the banner is an actually quilt I made. It is actually one of my favorites.

I actually have 2 cards that need pictures and then I can post. I may send one off to a Blogger RAK club that I joined I haven't decided yet.

Until next time thanks for stopping by.

Fireworks anyone?

I love my camera my husband got me for Christmas last year. It is a Canon PowerShot A630 8.0 mega pixels. It actually has a setting for fireworks. I believe these are the best firework pictures I have ever taken.

So for those of you that did not want to fight the traffic (I don't blame you at ALL!!) here are some pictures for you to enjoy.

My new watermark!!

I created this new watermark mark for all my wonderful creations. I have it in white and black. I will also be creating on that is for Stampin' UP! This watermark is for anything else. You too can create your own watermark. I used this wonderful video tutorial by Stampin' Kub, check out his blog here. I only wish I could subscribe to his blog through google reader. His site does not have a feed available, while at least that is what google is stating. Thanks a lot Kurtis!!

Now my next item will be to get a banner. Anyone know where I can get a tutorial on that?

Edited Post:
Thanks anonymous for catching that.

Maybe I can draw???

I must say I am very proud of this drawing. My cousin-in-law is staying at our house for a couple of months and she actually is an art teacher so I thought creative lately and always wanted to draw. So I asked for a drawing lesson. This is actually my second drawing I am very happy with it. Below is the real fruit I was drawing.

Happy 4th of July, America!

I had to create a 4th of July card to celebrate our independence day. This card goes out to all the man and women serving our country, you are in our thoughts. I wish the best for you and your family during this holiday.

Today in Arizona it got to 117 degrees..... oh my goodness it is hot. We are going to run to the fireworks about 45min before they start so we don't have to be out in this heat. It is a hot one!!!

After uploading this card I thought it needed some bling so I added stickles to the stars.

I can not believe it!!! I actually WON!!!

Ok so all I have been talking about lately is Tracey's Bella challenge. Then Tracey announced the winner and guess what? I won!!!!!!!! I can not believe it, I couldn't wait to tell you. So now the big question is which 2 Bellas do I pick. Well one is definitely billboardbella. I have been wanting her since the minute she was released. Then I am torn between huggybella, globetrottabella, or giddyupabella..........

I just had Meadow pick and she wants the horsie... so giddyupbella it is.

I know just the card to create first with these new bella's.

Thanks so much Tracey you made my day!!!

ok ok I am done.
